Your health is your current state of being. It may be good or otherwise. Many do not give this much consideration if everything seems to be going well. Sometimes we don’t even give attention to our health when it is of poor quality. What does it take to make a change? How do you achieve balance?
Sometimes a decline in health happens so gradually that you don’t even notice. You might even have a “not well since” point such as a bee sting, a virus, an accident, or even a death in the family. Then seemingly, all of a sudden, we awake from this lack of awareness to discover how far we have slipped. Others may be aware of the change but are so busy there is no time for being well. That is, of course, a primary sign that your life is out of balance. Someone has said that life is not a race. Is it time for a change? What is the motivation? Many times you simply have no other choice but to get well.
Disease sometimes starts on the mental, emotional, or spiritual level and erupts into the physical. If you get angry, there is a cascade of hormones that do many things including elevating your blood pressure. For some, an emotionally upsetting event can result in an illness such as a cold. Sometimes we add to our problem by saying “I have a bad knee”. Well it may not be perfect but it is still holding you up.
Good health is a combination of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being. A state of being present within the world you live. It is being in balance with yourself, the people around you. It is emotional freedom. It is the ability to be able to experience love, joy and peace. Balance is a continuous process that requires some attention for most of us.
My goal is to die healthy with as little effort as possible!
Stay Well!
